Guided by an OT and delivered by an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) Home & Community Life Skills extends therapy beyond the clinic into the child or teens natural environments, supporting daily living skills, social skills and community participation.

  • Daily Living Skills Training and Support
  • Social Skills Training and Support
  • Community Skills Training and Support
  • Developmental and Play Skills Support – Home and Preschool

We have a talented and dedicated team of Allied Health Assistants who bring a valued mix of qualifications, interests, work and life experiences to our kids and teens.

Best Practice is built into our service design

  • Following assessment and intervention with our occupational therapist a Service Plan is developed collaboratively with parents (and child) outlining the goals, scope and location of services.
  • Following each session the AHA formulates a Session Summary which is reviewed by the occupational therapist.
  • Formal ongoing program monitoring and upgrading occurs via regular OT/AHA Programming Meetings. Meeting minutes and relevant resources are emailed to parents following each meeting.
  • Parents are invited to book a consultation with the occupational therapist as needed to review progress and set future direction of goals or services.

With experience developing and delivering a wide range of topics we can individualised workshops and training for schools, preschools and other services.
